As the time comes,

“Like some wines our love could neither mature nor travel.”  ―  Graham Greene ,  The Comedians Today passed in a daze, it doesn't seem to register in my mind that I blurted the truth out, just like that.  I knew it all along, yet it took me five months to finally stop hurting the innocent, to face my mistake. It's never a light-hearted task to end off a relationship, and I'm at a loss for words. Maybe I should type this some other day, but I could never possibly rest at ease without sorting my thoughts out. I'm putting myself solely blamed for this and open for all judgement with regards to my shallowness and heartlessness,  we got to be responsible for our actions after all. Though frankly, damage to the heart could never possibly be mended.  Eye-candy ; that's exactly what you were to me when I first met you back then. Nothing else crossed my mind, I sincerely thought we will just stay as that and we will smile at each other politely when we wa...

Out of comfort zone.

“Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” This post is very much delayed since IHG ended almost two weeks back for I have been procrastinating, and also partially waiting for the photos to be uploaded.  Well, after a semester in Road relay and Soccer , everything eventually leads up to the IHG and there we are; One chance, and nothing else.  The semester kicked off with Road relay first, consisting of 6 relayer running 2.2km each, though I'm rather skeptical about the distance and it felt like 1.8km instead. As expected of me, I got nervous since hours before the competition and felt the immerse stress for being the first runner. ( A lil background here is that Sheares' sports isn't strong and it's very much expected that we will come in last. ) The race itself felt like the run of my life, the stress when others overtook me, the struggle to run up the humps, the urge to run a little faster, take a step wider. Frankly I don...

Identity.

Today I want to write about myself, for sometimes I'm confused with who I am. Let's begin with the Social media's perspective. I was never a fan of Insta because I trust neither the stories or the filters. Photos are edited to appeal to our eyes and you will never get a full picture of anything from it. Only the good things are being put up and people get envious over all the travel shots, the foods etc. I used to over-tweet back in the JC days but not so anymore. For now the only site I enjoy is using Facebook to tag photos of places I've been to with people I felt worth spending time with. Since I've been changing phones frequently and it saddens me to lose all the photos taken. Oh and probably tumblr too, though it die down a lot since Idk when, perhaps after I gained back all the weight I lost, or since I got attached few months back. I never knew the real rationale in creating the tumblr; to motivate myself or to move on from the past. So that's all one...

Year 20.

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.”  ―  Edith Lovejoy Pierce In two day's time I'm writing yet another 365 pages book. And the thing about setting goals never gets old. It sorts of helps me to discover what I would like to see happening this year, like an affirmation that I'm in faith of living a fulfilling life the year to come. Though I agreed with 940 that I could never remember what resolutions I made last year, but teeheh thankfully here's where the blog archieve come in handy...... Okay now scrap that, I realized that I did not have a resolution post last year.  Alas, it's been a terrific year in general. Though as I were living the days it seemed mandatory, but thinking back they pieced up a howling picture of 2013. With the first six months doing an internship at MSF, from feeling traumatised to comfortable, met great people...

December

Image
a month of lights, carols and feasts;  time to make amends and tie loose ends; finish off what we've started  and hope that it was a great year well spent for everybodyyy. :)   What's December without the usual recollections and new year resolutions, etc etc. Hahaha anyhow the final month passed by promptly with le mum and me spending more than half of it in China, Australia and New Zealand respectively. It's of tedious work to recall every place I visited, what's more I'm not gonna make this look like a travel blog neither. Lemme just keep everything short and sweet, or you can refer it as an excuse for being lazy.  Huizhou;  Pretty much becoming like a yearly tradition, we stopped by the city my bro is in before fly off else where for a short reunion. After not seeing him for 10 months which felt really long, it surprised me a little to feel a warm sense of familiarity when I see him. Guess something stays gold forever indeed. :') Tho...

Close to love.

Agh I shall admit that I'm comparatively reluctant to type this cause it makes me feel like some teenage girl childishly in love. And since the last r/s, I have been trying to uphold my seemingly rational image when it comes to dealing with feelings. Though inasmuch to that, here I am, falling into the mandatory struggle of fearing to lose someone. Oh come on, where has my mature image gone to. D: Thinking back,  I couldn't remember the last time I had such bittersweet feelings. Such is the price to pay when you fall in love, to put things at risk of being shattered abruptly someday. The thought that no matter how intimate we are now, someday we might both disappear into the crowd, becoming strangers and never cross path again. If so, why push yourself nearer to the cliff now for the fragrance of the rose, knowing that someday you might fall off while touching the thorns. Hahaha oh man looks like I've come pretty close to the last string of my clear consciences before cro...
