Wrapping up.

BStruggled to wake up from a dream this morning. One that I was trying to escape, as usual. This was more draining mentally for I found myself back to the place where I tried to escape after a long ride, and from there I tried to run away again, but it was proved to be another helpless struggle. It's strange how sometimes the feelings in dreams haunt us even after we wake up to the reality. The fear, the pain, the struggle all felt real, and I woke up feeling more lethargic than last night. I have spent a lot of time sleeping recently, for while we are asleep we don't have to think much.  Things been going okay the past week though majority of time I found myself surrounded by gloominess. I found myself starting to avoid interaction with people that I know but not closed to. In the past if I were to meet one on the street I would stop to catch up, but now I'd try to look away and avoid the very basic interaction. I did not have any urge to get to know the freshies better, n...

Kick balls.

If I'm not asleep by 3am on any day it would probably going to be a long night ahead, such as tonight. Being the soccer captain in Sheares wasn't stressful until now, knowing that a coach with be training us voluntarily.  SH soccer has always been ranked last the past few years so it was all along a matter of 'there is nothing else to lose'. Not a popular choice, pathetic number of turn up rates and basically most people didn't give a shit. And things changed, after meeting up with the coach who sincerely offered to coach the team free of charge, willing to pump in both time and effort all the way into ihg. I feel that it's my responsibility to get as many good players as I could, people who are not necessarily good in hard skills, but ones who are willing to train hard and stay committed. It's not going to be easy, a look at the google doc showing the clashing of trainings doesn't give a good sign ahead. And me being not socialising enough the past yea...

MIND OPEN :)

Greeting from after the first week of school~ Still energetic, still optimistic and still a dreamer. :')  With the 'I need to cherish my last week of holiday' mindset, I spent yet another great deal of time Googling places to go in Singa, and that is probably what grinds my brain every time. Since I refuse to conform to a typical movie and dine out date, the tiny Junting inside me was jumping for joy when Tan suggested Minds cafe, whilst I was opening my 13th Google link on Fun-things-to-do-in-Singa . Though it's ought to be for larger crowds, it was a good afternoon spent. Okay, it's commonly agreed that 2 hours was the optimal time to spend there.  It's ironic how I grumble about how little activities there is in Singa, while complain about how far the countryside (Kranji ) is from where I stay. Albeit I have been bringing up about popping by the farms since years ago, it was never materialized. Someday when I'm determined enough maybe. To my ...

Things that will happen in Y2S1.

Run everyday to prepare for marathon, eat balanced meals to ensure regular shitting, be confidence and love my body despite the bouncy fats :D People come in all shape and sizes.  Sink into a comfortable office chair, browse through the net with a mac mouse, sit by the window and enjoy a cup of green tea with great taste, grow something and ensure it doesn't wither within 2 weeks again.   Join more things in hall within my commitment limit, get to know more Geog major friends, finish revision and make notes on the day of lesson. Do my best to pull cap and apply for scholarship every sem.

Malaysia; 6 days.

'Welcome back Guo Junting '                      - Being greeted by the Singapore Tuas Checkpoint machine this a way isn't a bad thing to come back to Singapore; or rather, I felt a sense of relief when I stepped out of the bus, breathing in the air back here. It was a sense of familiarity I would say, 13 years spending on this island had made me grown attached to this particular land on the world map. Nothing's new or changed, yet it was the ordinariness that comforts me. :') I don't know how far I will be willing to go for this country but, I'm glad I have grown to love this place. This is where my friends and families are, and that's what home is all about.  :) And thank you the state for providing me with a home that is free of wars free of fatal contagious diseases free of natural disasters. For all these peace and security you have provided with me thus far, I guess I'm more than happy to be a civil servant after gradua...
