Part 3. Floor plan & 3D Rendering!

AND MY LONG WAITED 3D RENDERED NEST IS FINALLY OUT! :'D

Proudly drafted from scratch by designer Guo & Seah over a time span of the last three weeks. Not that bad considering we only manage to work on it during the weekends. Toodoos to myself for discovering the brilliant and FREE 3D interior design website on Taobao (http://www.kujiale.com/ ), albeit it's in Chinese but easy piezy man :D Wootz! Welcome to the Virtual tour of our future nest~

Here's the layout of our 92sqm that can be easily traced on property guru. As mentioned previously everything bout this house is perfect except that it's curved due to design of building, previous owner had straighten the edges by a low platform in the living room. Not that it mattered much to me cause me is no Fengshui person.

Lnr started working on the 3D design after I have more or less confirmed the Tb items for our furnishing (to ensure accuracy in dimensions) and I took over form where he left off while he flew to Germany for work last week. Guess it was a little challenging when we first used the software but it all became pretty handy after some time.

*Waves* Here is an overview of our nest, as mentioned in Part 2, we kinda like the Scandinavian / Minimalist designs because in Lnr's words, they are the cheapest to achieve lololol. Okay and also largely because I think it's very aesthetically pleasing as well. Colors in the images below are not 100% accurate but we tried to find the best substitute. :D

Living room

Very minimum build-in works required except a 10cm raised platform by the window for Lnr & I to have cuppa tea in the afternoon or rot on the beanbag. The rest of the items are 100% Tb imported including the track lights and ceiling fan Hahahaha. Not overlaying the floor with vinyl because save $$$ and also the current reflective homogeneous tiles are really quite good still.

Yay Close up, chose to paint one side of the wall light grey for the Scandinavian vibes in the house. Also not installing aircon in living room because I think we are good with natural wind, and also we have an open kitchen to consider now. Aircon ain't freeflow yo.

Dining area

Ideally we will have 2 dining areas: the dining table and a high table with our proposed open kitchen concept in the house, ignore the vintage looking door Idk why it's appearing in such rustic state Opps. But all these images generated at FOC so no complains man~

Open kitchen

Quite a bit of our renovation cost will go to the kitchen because are planning to hack the original kitchen walls, hack away the existing top cabinet on the right side, change a new Hob and Hood, overlay the kitchen tiles with white subway tiles, and lastly to build a table top for breaky time daily. Decide to stick with black table top for bar area to keep the consistency with the original kitchen table top.

Ideally the above is how our kitchen will look like given enough budget and circumstances. However if that fails, i.e. mostly likely our budget has busted for our Master bedroom. We will scrap off the bar table idea and just hack away the kitchen wall, keep all the original top cabinets like this:

En suite bedroom

Yay welcome to our 'million dollar' bedroom where massive renovation / $$$ will be invested into this for a complete revamp. Plan is to hack away the original build in wardrobe ( because changing the lamination alone is costing almost as much as a brand new wardrobe), hack away the built in bed, hack away the divider between the room and en suite toilet (previous owner did up a wall of divider for fengshui purpose again so that the bed will not face the toilet door directly, guess we are once again, doing away with this little taboo),

For our lil nest, we will need carpentry work for a full height wardrobe  and a 10/15cm raised platform bed, together with a raised baywindow shelf that is not reflected in the photo because we had a hard time trying to build one against the slanted walls of the room. Painting one side of the wall as a light tone of teal because I love the color lately. Hopefully I dont get sick of it too soon keke. Together with a tb vanity table that fits nicely in the remaining open space left I think we are good to go~

En suite toilet

And my third favourite place in the house! First being the raised platform in the living room and second the platform bed hehee. It took me the longest time ever to decide on the style of the bathroom because after browsing through almost everything available online I still couldn't get a good idea of my bathroom. Was kind of thrilled by the idea of Marble design tiles but xiao worried if it will turn out bad, but I guess we are taking this leap of faith eventually YAY. And so far the 3D rendering of the toilet looks fabulous~ Can't wait to shit and bathe in it alr lololol.

Having a nice toilet like above would also means $$$$$$, we will have to hack all the existing wall tiles and floor tiles, remove the current sanitation wares (ie. basin, toilet bowl, shower system) and place new ones back one by one, as well as a new frosted glass door. And guess who just came back to Singapore today with GROHE taps from Germany today LOL. As expected there will be some issue with the pipe size but hopefully it won't kill us by finding the suitable adaptors. :')

I am simply intrigued by this combination of black and marble. All fingers crossed that marble design tiles will not cost us a bomb sigh. :/

Study/ Pole room

Moving on to my next favourite room and also dreams coming trueeeeeee ~ I will be having a pole in the house YAY! (Yes it's that rod looking pillar in the photo, this is the closest substitute I can find in the software) And a piece of full length mirror in the room wootz feeling so perfect just by thinking bout it. Work to be done here includes hacking away the existing built in study day and replace with cheapo tb ones hehe. Oh and also theme color for the wall will be very light hue of blueeee~ I think it's good for doing work, okay Idk this is just my random guess.

Common toilet

Okay as my post is coming to an end here are some rooms in the house that I am obviously giving less priorities on. I was hoping we can make do with the original wall and floor tiles ( albeit a little orpiang but maybe we can overlay one side of the shower wall to beautify it a little), tb vanity basin set and yeah, probably have to install a  new glass divider. Keke that's it.

Guest room

Sorry but not sorry this is the plain guest room that we are presenting lololol. Absolutely no effort except the basics here, repaint the wall, polish the parquet floor and change the lights to track lights in the house. We will be keeping the original built in wardrobe and transferring the vacant single bedframe in my house over. :')

And I have come to the end of the virtual house tour! We also did a full 3D virtual tour for the house with the free coins available to us in the software here meow meow~
