(NOTE: TAKE TIME TO CHECK OUT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VARIOUS COURSES SOON.)

On a side note: Public service division http://www.psd.gov.sg/

I couldn't find the exact salary for this particular job but well,

Another piece of news: there is an increase in starting pay of civil services in Singapore.
Foreign Service (Good Honours)
from $2,760 to $3,320 (increase of $560)

And next, the Singapore education system.

University level studies:

University level first stage: Bachelor's Degree:

Admission to first degree courses is on the basis of Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level, Polytechnic results or other examinations of equivalent standing. Bachelor (Pass or Pass with Merit or Honours) Degrees are normally obtained after 3 to 5 years, depending on the subject. Bachelor degrees in Dentistry, Law, Engineering, Building, Real Estate, Architecture and Music require four years, while Medicine requires five.

University level second stage: Master's Degree:

The Master's degree is obtained after one to three years of postgraduate study. Candidates for a Master's by research must hold a good Honours degree and submit a thesis. The minimum entry qualification for a Master's by course work and dissertation is a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, although requirements vary from course to course.

University level third stage: Doctor's Degree:

The Doctor's degree is awarded after a minimum of two further years following upon a Master's degree. Candidates are required to submit a thesis. The Doctorate in Business requires a combination of course work and dissertation. The Doctor of Letters, Doctor of Laws and Doctor of Science are conferred on the basis of published work.

A step higher than that would be a

Foreign Service Officer
(Political and Economic)
Higher requirements, duh. But not impossible I suppose.

- Singapore Citizen
- At least an honours degree or be in the final year of undergraduate study from any academic disciplines
- Keen commitment to public service
- Deep interest in international and domestic affairs
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A capacity for effective working relations
- Good planning and organisational abilities
- Be prepared to accept the challenge of working overseas and be able to cope with frequent changes and live in diverse social and cultural environments

I assume this job gives a higher pay rate since it requires a honours degree whereby the previous one require diploma. Kachin kachin $_$ I feel mature doing these research. LOL.
