This is going to be such a long post that I hope I can finish it in 2 hours, without any distraction.

Well, internet has been cut off a few days after I came back from China atw until 2weeks later,

Oh well, let time date back to two weeks ago, 17th & 18th June if I'm not wrong,

I went for a extraordinary, somewhat a one of a kind camp ( peer pressure by Fann) at the furthest place I could've gone to, Ngee ann Poly.

It was there that I realise, oh Singapore it's not that small after all, took us an hour and half to reach.

Throw away these side notes, those are not the main focus.

Basically it was an interesting & impressive ( I would say.) camp beside the EVO camp I went in Sec 2.

Campus were to pledge their will in fasting for 30 hours, the motto was hungry for a better world.

Which I assume, is to raise awareness of the public about the harsh living conditions in LDCs.

Day one's highlight was to form a family in our sub group and "live" a day in the shoes' of poverty family.

I've learnt that child labour is widespread and they receive lesser wages a day for the same amount of work.

This just reminded me of my brother's cousin who is now working at a electronic factory during school holiday,

12 hours a day no day off and 1200RMB a month, that's like 240SGD and he is only 14.

Ohwell, so tell me who else is willing to work for $0.67/hr ? Guess a pool of poor kids in Ldc-s is willing.

Many working conditions were just so unbearable and tough that many campus chose Easy money instead.

It's no longer a question why jobs like prostitution and drug trafficking are so widespread.

It's more of like, why not do drugs when it earns much more and to many naive people think the risk is worth the money.

Well that's exactly what happened to us in camp, we all turn to drug traffick in the end.

Okay honestly I know not much about it in rl except that it's death penalty. Good job Singapore.

Looks like all those educational talks held in school had gone down to the drain. Opps :/

At night we had a "role play" session, as shoe shine boy and kids who were being human trafficked.

Seen much of shoe shine man back in China when I was young and I din't really relate it much to dignity.

Cause I thought it's still a proper job and it holds more dignity than prostitution. Well that's just what I thought though.

Why parents in Ldc are so naive to believe that the people went over to send their kids for education?

It's more convincing to me that their parents just secretly sold their kids to them for money.

Sigh.

Moving on to day two was quite, blank actually. Come up with a project within 30minutes,

went to Orchard to take photo w/ the public to raise awareness, which to me, is useless.

Firstly, I'm quite sure that the public who took photo w/ us just took it cause we asked,

w/o any prior knowledge of what we were actually doing though we tried to tell them.

Secondly, I don't understand why they make us go over orchard for only an hour and came back

to NP but did nothing from 2 to 5pm. Just plain waiting. Like why not stay longer?

Isn't the main aim of the camp is to raise awareness? Oh well why am I like keep questioning the camp :/

Kay overall, the camp is quite a unique one and the hunger was more endurable than I thought it would be.

should try fast for 30hrs now and then. wahaha :DDDD Oh on a bright side lost 1kg through the camp?

Made two good friends in the camp :D Whom we're still in close contact now, woohoo!

Went to Pitstop cafe that day, +strong recommendation+ It's a great place for 4-10 friends.

They provide a wide range of board games, tabboo was extremely fun just saying :D

Hope 940 enjoyed her birthday cause we all suck at planning birthday surprises.

Ate the ever familiar taste wanton mee, which disappointingly din't taste as nice as I missed it.

But ohwell, good old taste that only can be found in Ahs! :D

Idk why but there's like no teacher I have in mind particularly to talk to when I went back :/

Okay no good teacher-student-relationship in the four years?

It's like they changes teacher of every subject every year, how to maintain closeness w/ so many teacher loh.

Going back to secondary school is more of like catching up with friends who've been allocated to different schools,

rather than going back to visit the teacher :/ Okay personal views only.

Great time spent with the girls wasting money taking neoprints which give fake big eye effect hahaha :D

The feeling is kind of loved when you just meet up randomly with people with no place in mind to go.

Oh wait, our high class adultish 940 bought her first set of formal wear from G2000, G2000 seh!

Their clothes like abit not expensive seh! All the clothes I brought in China added up also cheaper than her top n skirt sioh!

Okay so anyway throughout the day I was like reminding her to hold her paper bag closely, what a nice friend she had got :D

As usual & typical, we tried typing "interesting museum to go in singapore using Iphone,

and found our destination of the day: Children little museum It's located at somehwere near Arab street.

Took us quite a while to find the location, the point is not the distance but the heat of Sun, we were like melting under umbrella,

yeah the auntie me as got psycho-ed by my mother, now brings umbrella everywhere I go :/

It's a museum with antiques, okay not antiques, past time toys & devices in Singapore?

Okay we took a lot photos but can't show all lah, lazy :/ But you get the rough idea.

The museum is kinda small, like a storey shop house, but really 大开眼界 in a way.

Guess adults who went there would have more 触景生情 than us cause that's what they used to play.

Couldn't remember my last piece of toy, din't had much when I was a kid.

Din't had any favourite toy. Oh wait I had one, but the toy wasn't mine.

It was this owl like robot ( quite high technology I think), like got a lot sensor one.

It belongs to my mother's friend's daughter, I remember she use to put it in this drawer,

the nice little girl let me to have a look at it every few days :D:D:D

I was so desperately for it then i keep beg my mama buy for me, but later on I knew that she bought it in Beijing.

Then my mama promise me to buy me one when we go back, but I'd never seen anywhere selling it ever again.

UNTIL LAST IT I FREAKING SAW IT IN DISPLAY AT SINGAPORE SCIENCE CENTRE UNDER THE ROBOT SECTION.

and for a moment I was like omg and nearly screamed in excitement, but it's not on sale,sigh ):

Guess even if it is I can't afford it also, ohwell. I hope next time it downgrade to a cheapo toy then I can buy! :D

Everyone wore shorts / pants except me?! Make me awkward when playing Xbox cause keep jumping.
